Manufacturing choices follow the specified pulley family and drawing. The process route can change with material, size, bore or bush configuration, flange arrangement and order-specific inspection requirements.
Keep the Tooth Family and Shaft Interface Under One Released Specification
The belt-side geometry identifies the synchronous system; machining of the bore, hub and related features must then preserve the installation requirements. A change at the shaft interface can affect wall thickness, hub projection, axial position and inspection points, so it should be controlled by the product code or an approved drawing rather than by verbal instruction alone.

Define Nonstandard Features Before Production Release
Special material, surface treatment, tight tolerances, marking, balancing or inspection documentation should be written into the RFQ and drawing. Availability depends on the selected pulley, quantity and process route; the website does not apply one universal capability or tolerance statement to every product.


Preserve Product Identity Through Inspection and Packing
Mixed-model orders are easier to receive and maintain when the model reference, quantity and associated drawing or order line remain clear through final inspection and packing. State any special marking or document-matching requirement before production so it can be incorporated into the order plan.
Tooth Geometry and Shaft Features Need Different Controls
The toothed rim must remain consistent with the selected HTD family, while the finished bore, taper interface, hub and flange features establish how the part mounts and where the belt runs. Standard catalogue pulleys combine those features in defined construction types. A custom order should identify exactly which features depart from the standard row so machining and inspection can focus on the functional changes.
For a replacement part, this is why a worn pulley should be measured before disassembly whenever possible. The installed belt line and hub projection are often easier to understand while the old drive is still assembled. For a new machine, the same information is controlled in the released drawing.

Inspection Is Planned From the Released Requirements
A catalogue dimension does not automatically define a special fit or runout limit. When those characteristics matter to the machine, place them on the drawing or RFQ and identify the datum or measurement method that purchasing and production should use. This is more reliable than adding a generic “high precision” note that cannot be inspected consistently.
Finished parts can be reviewed for the dimensions and construction features applicable to the selected model. When the order calls for inspection records or material documentation, the requested document set should be agreed before production so the correct records are retained for the shipment.
From Finished Part to Shipment
Cleaning, identification and packaging preserve the released product identity after inspection. Mixed-model orders benefit from clear model separation because tooth count, width and mounting variants can look similar when packed together. The purchase line, package identification and any inspection record should use the same series or drawing revision.
Custom Features Are Reviewed Before Production, Not Added at the End
A special bore, keyway, hub or flange can change workholding and inspection even when the toothed rim remains standard. The earlier those features are defined, the easier it is to keep the finished belt line and shaft interface consistent with the machine. The same is true for coatings, heat treatment or special marking: the process sequence and any process minimum quantity need to be reviewed before release.
For this reason, a custom quotation is tied to a drawing revision rather than a loose list of modifications. If the machine design changes, update the drawing so production and inspection are working from the same definition.
